'Suishase' comes from the characters for 'water wheel' and 'momentum' and this is an excellent exercise for practicing blocks and strikes with a partner or you can practice both sides solo. The exercise is also excellent for practicing when to apply and when to release your strength; for practicing breathing, timing and rhythm and for practicing maintaining and switching your axis and weight from one leg to the other.
